Dr. Leagogo attended University of the Philippines - Diliman where he received his Bachelor's Degree in Pre-Med in 1975. He obtained his Medical Degree in 1979 from University of the Philippines College of Medicine in Malate, Manila. He completed his internship at U.P. - Philippine General Hospital and became a licensed physician in 1980 after passing the medical board examinations.

In the Philippine General Hospital, he underwent his residency in the Department of Orthopedics up to 1985.

He continued to further his knowledge of General Orthopaedics and went to Minneapolis, Minnesota to take up his fellowship in the Hennepin County Medical Center up to 1986. He sub-specialized in the areas of Traumatology and Total Joint Replacement.
